The journey to the north is worth it

For elite runners, the focus this year is on Sprint orienteering. The highlight is the World Championship at the end of June in neighboring Denmark with the disciplines Sprint, Knock-Out Sprint and Sprint Relay.

The German "Sprint-O-Weekend" in Hamburg, which is being held for the first time in this form, fits ideally into the seasonal orientation of the German and international elite runners, and the date at the beginning of September should also be a good time for many elite runners.

For many years, the OSC Hamburg has enjoyed an excellent reputation as an organizer of interesting and challenging Sprint races. The Hamburg-OL, organized together with SC Klecken, has a fixed place in the annual calendar of many orienteers from Germany and the neighboring Scandinavian countries. This year the Hamburg-OL will be the German "Sprint-O-Weekend" where many elite runners are expected to start. For national elite runners two German Championships in Sprint and Sprint Relay are already a good reason to come to Hamburg. For the international and national elite runners the National Sprint Championships will be carried out at the same time as a World Ranking Event (WRE) and makes it possible to gain important world ranking points. In addition, attractive prize money totaling 800 euros will be paid out for the first three places in the women's and men's elite at the WRE.

There are many reasons to come to Hamburg for the "Sprint-O-Weekend". The journey to the north is worthwhile.
